Today I'm sharing another magic topcoat - one of those layering polishes that when layered over a regular polish completely makes the look of a manicure :) This is Missha The Style Lucid Nail Polish Dazzling No. 6 (what a mouthful!) over Topshop Rainy Day.
Missha Dazzling No. 6 is the black and white glitter in The Style Lucid Nail Polish Dazzling Range. It has black and white bar glitter, white microglitter, black and white hex glitter and white square glitter. It's not an exact dupe, but it's close enough to some of the more elusive indie polishes - Lynderella Connect the Dots and Cover Band Sticks n' Stones polish. Almost exactly the same except for some minor difference in glitter sizes, pretty good alternative if you ask me!
First, two coats of Rainy Day…
A yellow-toned grey in direct sunlight
And a more blue-grey indoors. Look at that shine!
This is one dabbed coat of Missha Dazzling No. 6 over Rainy Day. You could probably layer more coats to give fuller glitter coverage but I preferred the way it looked with just one coat. As with all glitter polishes, you sort of have to arrange the glitter bits on the nails as you paint it on to spread it out evenly and avoid clumping. Takes abit of getting used to but it's the only way to get it to look like a neat, well spread-out mess (if that made sense).
The entire Missha Dazzling Range is worth checking out. Glitter in all sorts of colours with so much potential for layering. I have a few of them in my collection and will definitely be posting more on them individually. Have a look at how I used Dazzling No. 2 in my New Year nails here!
The Lucid Nail Range retails for $6.90 at Missha stores. See the whole range of Dazzling colours here or drop by one of their stores to have a look!
